The National Competition will showcase the skills of approximately 500 of Australia’s best trainees, apprentices and students for three days of exciting competition, providing a unique platform for these young professionals to test their skills, meet like-minded individuals and prove their commitment to their profession.

The National Competition will bring together 300 industry experts from across Australia, representing 50 specialised trade and skill disciplines, as the official judges of Australia’s largest trade and skill competition. The judges will be volunteering their time, knowledge and expertise in their roles to help us discover who our 2014 national champions will be.

Largest Try'aSkill program ever

Running alongside the National Competition will be WorldSkills Australia’s largest Try'aSkill program ever hosted. Available for visitors to engage with trades and skills in a hands-on way will be over 40 Try'aSkill activities and demonstrations where people are given the opportunity to try their hand at everything from welding a joint and restoring a car body to mastering a braid and designing a logo.

The 2014 Green Team will comprise of Environmental Monitoring students from Challenger Institute of Technology and managed by Project Manager of Sustainable Development at Challenger, Pascaline Owers.
