For more information, please contact Amy Campbell. MAGNOLIA HOUSE Spring has sprung and we are certainly excited to bring you our April lineup of classes, workshops and services for the next month. If you are interested in participating in the many Magnolia House offerings, please be sure to sign up! Join us on April 29th at 5:00pm for an informational webinar on Emerging Science in Cancer Care and Survivorship with Dr. Arash Asher. In this session, participants will have the opportunity to understand and explore the latest topics in survivorship. Sources will include studies and articles from the latest medical journals that explore topics such as nutrition, sexuality, spirituality, resilience, brain health, exercise, rehabilitation, and integrative practices. This session will include a presentation and an opportunity for rich discussion. As part of our commitment to providing the best possible support, we are transitioning to a new calendar, beginning on June 3, of in-person classes at 8767 Wilshire and Roxbury Park, in Beverly Hills, in addition to our robust virtual offerings. To facilitate this transition efficiently and effectively, we will be temporarily closing the program for 30 days, from May 1, 2024 thru May 31, 2024. During this period, we will be making the necessary arrangements to create a welcoming and safe in-person environment for all participants and instructors.TOWER CANCER RESEARCH COLLECTIVE Last month we announced the launch of the Tower Cancer Research Collective, formerly known as the Love Research Army. With Tower's vast reach into other cancers combined with our nationwide presence, we are now embarking on an unprecedented mission to expand the Collective and increase the research study options to be inclusive of all cancers. The Tower Cancer Research Collective is dedicated to encouraging and facilitating cancer research in all people, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual identity, with or without a cancer diagnosis. It consistently and intentionally recruits individuals who are willing and excited to participate in cancer research. RECONJOINT – Survey to Assess Patient Preferences for Breast Reconstruction Are you a patient who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, or a genetic predisposition (i.e. BRCA gene), and have considered breast reconstruction after mastectomy? We want to learn more about what women value when considering a decision to have breast reconstruction and study how treatment preferences may be different across various patient populations. Your responses to this study will help us develop a tool that can help educate and improve shared decision-making for women considering breast reconstruction surgery.
