Friday February 4, 2011 Lovely Luhrs
DPJ's weekly From the Arizona Room examines the Luhrs Tower, an example of a well-designed building that works for its inhabitants and contributes to its surrounding community.
The city's first true "skyscraper" is currently undergoing a renovation for incoming tenants and sits as a historic complement to the new CityScape across the street.
A Super Public Market
The Public Market lot is undergoing a makeover, but it's business as usual.
Its indoor Urban Grocery & Wine Bar offers delicious lunch and dinner (and yes, wine), Royal Coffee serves a warm cup of joe, and Food Truck Friday brings its hot-off-the-truck goodness.
This week: fans can Pack up on these super Steels.
First Fridays: 170 and Counting
The February/March issue of DPJ Magazine has a surprise inside: a First Fridays Art Walk map!
Through a partnership with Artlink Inc., DPJ worked with districts throughout the Greater Downtown Phoenix area to identify more than 170 galleries and businesses that contribute to the First Fridays visitor experience.
Pick up a copy tonight from the shuttle stop at Phoenix Art Museum or at a business near you! |
