Summer media “stay-cation”

Summer’s coming – but that doesn’t mean PR goes on vacation. At Eastwick, we believe that summer is prime time to dig deep by updating content, creating new assets, and doing the groundwork needed for the busy months ahead. We share a few “seize the moment!” tips below, and have reached across the Eastwick team for actionable ways to make the most of the gift of time that summer can sometimes bring.

“Decide on one big thing you want to accomplish and strategize with your team on how to achieve it.” – Jenn Lovelace, Associate

“We often help businesses foresee and plan for growth by working with them on Q3 research studies.” – Heather Kernahan, SVP

“Think about how visuals can get audiences to pay attention and help your stories stand out from the pack.” – Sarah Goodman, Associate

“If you don’t have product news, summer is great for summit dinners: exec sit downs where everyone eats a lot and discusses the future.” – Michael Kanellos, VP

“Summer is a great time to audit web pages and see how content is performing.” – Scott Thornburg, Account Coordinator

PR & Startups…BFF or not?

PR and startups? Match made in heaven or oil and water? Seems there are different ways to see this important equation, but the advice from Eastwick: be clear on what you’re looking to achieve and get the relationship right. We weigh in on this hot topic in this blog post with advice that any startup – heck, any tech business – should heed.

Webinar: “Worth 1,000 words”

A picture is worth 1,000 words, it's said, and in July we'll offer a webinar sharing how to help your audiences see your stories more powerfully than words can convey.

Titled "Worth 1,000 Words: Awakening the Visual Impact of your Business Story," our webinar will help participants understand trends in visual communications – what's getting read, what's driving engagement, and what's waiting in your story that people want to see.

Follow us on Twitter or Facebook for invitations in mid-June, or drop us a line if you want an invitation. We hope to see you there!

Client award

Award-winning clients seem to abound these days at Eastwick. LucidWorks, AutoGrid, and Dell Software Group each earned its place in the spotlight this month when they were named finalists in this year’s American Business Awards, the premier business awards show in the United States. Coming this September in San Francisco, each of these clients will be honored and announced as gold, silver, or bronze winners in their respective categories. We’re proud to represent these companies, along with the many other award-winning clients here at Eastwick.

Moxie

Lockbox partnered with Eastwick for the U.S. launch of Client Portal, a cloud privacy platform that encrypts and secures your data, into the Financial Services market because of Eastwick's strong creative storytelling and media relations capabilities. Showing the story with two engaging, lively videos (with Eastwick's own Heather Kernahan on voiceover!) and backing it all up with an eye-catching infographic, we went straight to the heart of the Lockbox message in a fun and effective way. With the new content created by our talented staff, Lockbox won coverage on BoxFreeIT and via Twitter from GigaOM's Barb Darrow.

Boxbee

"Easy urban storage” is the promise of rising star Boxbee.com, a San Francisco-based early stage startup and winner of the prestigious Best of Launch 2013. CEO Kristoph Matthews chose Eastwick for trusted relationships, our ability to put the big Boxbee vision into context, our strong Valley and hyperlocal SF connections, and confidence in our social media skills. Bay Area residents: check them out... and others, stay tuned. It won’t be long ‘til Boxbee is shaping up storage in a town near you.
