I&J Young Biologist Course – Grade 11s

We're running another Young Biologist Course for Grade 11s this year. Sponsored by I&J, one of our founding sponsors, this course is aimed at students with a keen interest in marine life and a possible career in life sciences. Besides being fun and educational, this course is very popular, and upon completion, the Young Biologists become fully fledged volunteers of the Aquarium. More details on the blog.

Penguin Plodder pops in at the Aquarium

Penguin Plodder pops in at the Aquarium

Dave Chamberlain, also known as the Penguin Plodder, has embarked on an extraordinary mission – to run the entire length of the African penguin’s natural coastal range, a distance of about 2 700km, to raise awareness about their plight.

He kicked off his run in Walvis Bay in October, and made a stop at the Aquarium in December. Read more here.

Pleased to meet you: Visitor Services Supervisor Msa Maseko

Probably one of the first faces to greet you as you arrive at the Two Oceans Aquarium is that of Msawenkosi Maseko, known by all as Msa. As Visitor Services Supervisor, he makes sure that everything at the front of house is in order, and that both staff and visitors are happy. Between the feeding-time presentations that he sometimes helps with, to greeting visitors at the door, to organising volunteer shifts, Msa keeps himself busy, and that’s how he likes it. Read more.
