Clover Dale Floyd India Pale Ale
This locally produced IPA, brewed by Ruth McGowan’s Brewpub in Sonoma County, received a gold medal at this year’s State Fair, and we certainly concur with the judges! A pale copper color with a fizzy head, this IPA smells of pine and citrus. With a light body and bright pine and alcohol flavors, it’s deceptively lower in alcohol than you might expect from a beer with this strong of flavor. We’re the exclusive carrier of this brew in our area, and at $4.99, it’s a steal!

Local Seedless Black Watermelons
Looking beyond the beautiful black exterior, the hearts of these watermelons are filled with crimson red and undeniably sweet fruit. These black watermelons come from our friends at Vierra Farms, located in West Sac. Fifth-generation farmer David Vierra says his passion for farming “is in my blood. I can’t help it.” David’s grandfather, Ellard Vierra, helped settle the Sac River Delta in the 1920s. David still cultivates his grandfather’s garden today.

Mountain
Fruit Jams
Chico, CA
This local company, which used to sell fruit at the Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market in San Francisco, got its start in the jam business 15 years ago when someone asked them to jar cherries. Jarring cherries turned into making jam, and they’ve been creating unique varieties ever since. Always Apricot is a favorite of ours—it’s 79%-cooked-down California apricots. This natural spread is tangy, but oh so irresistible. Oh! Berries is a more traditional favorite—made of 78%-cooked-down Marion berries, and it’s great on toast.
