Mental Health First Aid Basic - May 3 & May 10 This two-day training by CMHA North and West Vancouver takes place at the HOpe Centre and teaches useful skills to help someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Register for Mental Health First Aid. safeTALK Suicide Alertness Training - May 9 (Kelowna) This half-day suicide alertness training will prepare anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. The deadline for registration is May 6. Register for safeTALK. Understanding Addiction - May 27 to August 27 This online training program supports those who work directly or indirectly with people experiencing addiction to gain confidence and skills for responding in a positive and respectful way. Register by May 24. CMHA Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor Training - June 11 - 12 (Prince George) This two-day course is designed to help employers improve psychological health and safety or implement the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace in their workplaces. Register for the course. Resilience in Kids - May 7 Join Pathways Clubhouse in Richmond for a free film and panel discussion. Resilience is the ability to bounce back or recover from stress, challenge or change. You'll learn ways to build resiliency in children for improved mental wellness. Learn more. Ride Don't Hide - June 25 CMHA's Ride Don’t Hide is a nationwide fundraising bike ride that brings mental health out into the open. Join us for the 8th annual event in over 25 communities across Canada. It's the largest mental health bike ride in Canada with almost 10,000 riders and hundreds of volunteers.
