A Celebration Down Under

The Alaska SeaLife Center is hosting its 2nd Annual Alaska Marine Gala fundraiser on January 16, 2011.

The evening will showcase the work and stories of National Geographic Photographer, Joel Sartore, the Alaska Ocean Leadership Awards, and both silent and live auctions.

Speaking of awards, congrats to Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises on it's nomination for the Marine Explorer Program.

Make like a Polar Bear...

...and take the plunge, or head down to Seward Harbor and watch as people dressed in absurd costumes jump into the frigid waters of Resurrection Bay! No, their efforts aren't in vain, participants are raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Circus Sundays

Green Light Circus has set-up shop in Talkeetna and is hosting open circus practice sessions. Hone your juggling, tumbling, and acrobatic skills or take to the Spanish Web and silks for an experience that's sure to get the adrenaline pumping!
