While the country remains focused on the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. employers cannot ignore the ongoing opioid epidemic or how it may affect their workforces. Using marijuana is becoming more and more acceptable in the United States, both medically and recreationally. More than three-quarters of survey respondents said they think they know when they are prescribed an opioid, but just 22% could successfully identify seven common prescribed opioids, with many also frequently misidentifying other medications as containing opioids.
