Business networking at Boomtown – TODAY!
Business Mount Alexander (BMA) is hosting their first social networking event for 2024. Come along to experience Boomtown's newly renovated bar and function space.
You'll meet representatives from two great government initiatives aimed at assisting small businesses, and the Mount Alexander Tastes Showcase event to be held in April will be launched.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world around us, but how much do you know about it?
If you're keen to improve your understanding of this technology, TAFE NSW is offering an online introduction to how machines learn from data and what real world applications of AI look like. Learn common terminology and separate facts from myth. The course doesn't require any programming or computer science experience.
Course duration: 2.5 hours online, self-paced
How much: Free (usually $140)
Become a Cyber Warden in your business
The Cyber Wardens program is a simple and FREE education tool designed to build a cyber-smart small business workforce. It's an initiative of the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia, to help protect small business from online threats.
Start with a 45-minute training session and find out about new program developments, cyber safety news and tips for your business.
CSIRO Kick-Start
CSIRO Kick-Start is an initiative for innovative Australian start-ups and small businesses, providing matched funding support of between $10,000 and $50,000. You'll have access to CSIRO’s research expertise and capabilities to help grow and develop your business.
The programme is designed to help small businesses overcome barriers, like lack of technical expertise or funding, when trying to access research and development (R&D) to explore new opportunities.

How can digital tools help your business?
Digital Solutions – Australian Small Business Advisory Services is an Australian Government initiative offering low cost, high-quality, digital advisory services for Australian small businesses. This program is delivered by Melbourne Innovation Centre across metropolitan and regional Victoria, and is open to sole traders and businesses with fewer than 20 employees.
The program includes mentoring, workshops and online learning.
Attend the online webinars run by leading industry experts on a range of topics such as digital marketing, social media, SEO, website building, accounting software and more.
