Kilimanjaro

After one of our busiest summer seasons in recent history, fueled by our fellow climber referrals to friends and families, one of the best compliments we received was in route choice, given how they thought the Machame Route was perfect. Our time tested routes are our 9 Day Trip and our 7 Day Machame.

We also were thrilled to have one of our top local guides join our 6 day program in Washington State this year. This was Daniel’s first trip out of Tanzania and his chance to enjoy mountaineering Cascades style (special thanks to climber Meredith Broderick). For 2017 we look to continue guides training with our African guides, present new Alpine Ascents logo uniforms, and as always make sure local wages are atop the pay scale.

The Alpine Ascents Foundation

The Alpine Ascents Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people who live in Nepal by providing funds so that students can access education and related resources.

Our motivation originated from Nepalese families who came to us seeking an education for their children and currently we are fortunate enough to be able to sponsor 54 students so that they can attend school or college.
It is the hope of the Foundation that, through education, these students will enhance their communities by sharing knowledge and generating resources in the future.

For nearly 20 years we have been providing scholarships for Nepali children and more recently built schools and assisted with earthquake relief. Life in Nepal still difficult for many and the Alpine Ascents Foundation operates with minimal to no overhead cost, with donation going directly to Nepal. Please learn more and consider a donation at: www.AlpineAscentsFoundation.org
