As I told anyone who wanted to listen before I left for Mexico, I did not really need to return to Mexico this spring - it was not as if we had a real need for more jewelry - but I wanted to. So I did.
And, as I will tell anyone who wants to listen now that I am back, I will never go to Mexico again in the month of April! We all know about global warming and that weather everywhere is not as it was but, damn it was HOT in Taxco! For those of you who have been to Taxco, when you pass people on the street, it is typial for you to exchange greetings of Buenos Dias, Buenos Tarde, Buenos Noche, depending on the time of day. This trip when I passed someone the exchange was modified to a simple "Muy Calor"!
Despite the heat, I had a most wonderful time. I brought back new designs by some of the artists we work with and classics that we have had in the past. I also remembered that Mom's day (and Dad's) is around the corner and that graduations loom in some people's lives. I think we have you covered.
As usual, this is but a glimpse of what I found.
