Many of our community partners and neighbors showed up and provided input on the ideas presented. We'll provide updates in upcoming newsletters. Superbowl LIII Service Changes for Gwinnett Transit Through February 4, 2019, the City of Atlanta will implement lane restrictions and/or road closures in the downtown area for Super Bowl events. Gwinnett County Holds Transit Referendum Open Houses In advance of the March 19 Transit Referendum, the County will host a series of open house education sessions. GATEWAY ON-THE-GOGateway85 Welcomes District 2 Commissioner Ben Ku Newly sworn in District 2 Commissioner Ben Ku took the ceremonial oath in December at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Ku is a software and mobile app developer and Georgia Tech graduate. He also graduated from Gwinnett 101 Citizens Academy. He received the County's Distinguished Service Award for Most Volunteered Hours in 2017. The Gateway85 CID Board of Directors and staff look forward to working with Ku on projects to benefit the commercial property owners, businesses, residents and visitors who make up our great district. Gateway85 Board Member, Tim Le, Recognized for Chamber WorkCongratulations to Tim Le (top picture, second from the left), Broker/owner, Atlanta Maxim Realty International, for being recognized for his work as a member of Board of Directors for the Georgia Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce during the 14th Annual Lunar Year Gala on January 26. Le serves in Post 1 on the Gateway85 Board of Directors. During the same event, Ben Vo (second picture, second from the left), owner of Carter Oak Shopping Center and Hong Kong Supermarket received the Pinnacle Award recognizing his extraordinary contributions to the community. Marsha Anderson Bomar Named ATL Chair of Regional Technology Committee Congrats to recently elected Atlanta Transit Link Authority ("The ATL") Transit District 2 Representative and Gateway85 CID Executive Director, Marsha Anderson Bomar, who was named Chair of the Regional Technology Committee of the "The ATL" in late January.
