The August MYAN WA meeting is not one to miss. This third meeting of the year will have a National focus and we are very excited to announce that Nadine Liddy, National Coordinator of Australian Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN) and Carmel Guerra, founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) in Victoria will be our guest speakers.

These presentations will set the context for a discussion about the future of MYAN WA - what you want MYAN WA to look like, what you think it's potential can be and how we will go about achieving that. MYAN WA's strength is in the size, diversity and passion of the network - so we want to hear from you!

The Refugee Adjustment Study

Researchers at the Refugee Trauma & Recovery Program (RTRP) at the University of New South Wales are seeking individuals from refugee backgrounds to participate in a longitudinal online study. The purpose of this research is to examine the potential role of visa status on refugee adjustment over time. We also hope to understand possible mechanisms through which visa status might impact psychological wellbeing.
