Child anxiety program now open to referrals from teachersOur Confident Parents: Thriving Kids - Anxiety program supports BC parents and caregivers to build skills for reducing anxiety in their children aged 3 to 12, The free program is now accepting referrals from teachers and school counsellors. Visions: Supporting Adult ChildrenProviding care to an adult child who experiences a mental illness or substance use problem can be a difficult role to navigate. Parents have to navigate boundaries, independence, and other tricky facets of family relationships as well as health systems. Understanding Addiction - January 15 to April 15Understanding Addiction is a unique online training program for those who work directly or indirectly with people who face challenges with addiction. You'll learn effective, practical skills to increase comfort in responding in a positive and respectful way and build confidence in working with challenging clients. Register by January 10. CMHA Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor Training - February 6-7Gain practical expertise to help employers improve psychological health and safety in their workplaces. You’ll learn how to present a business case, assessment processes, and implementation plan to employers, as well as apply tools to assess and analyze psychological health and safety. Clinical Program Coordinator (CMHA Prince George)Located in Quesnel, the Clinical Program Coordinator provides clinical counselling services after assessing client’s social, psychological, emotional and/or behaviour issues. They will also develop therapeutic programs for those experiencing impairment/disruption in their lives as a result of forest fires in their community. Learn more and apply. Case Manager (CMHA North and West Vancouver)The Case Manager provides services to job seekers on the North Shore. They work closely with job seekers to assess service suitability and develop and implement an Employment Action Plan.
