Welcome to our latest newsletter edition!

In this edition, we announce the opening of registrations for the ABRSM Practical session and Cambridge English. Cambridge International registrations are continuing with late fees registrations.

You can also still apply to join the ‘Young Journalists’ team in Cyprus as part of the COOPower project. Applications for this interested opportunity are open until 18 August.

As always, we highlight the latest resources for teachers, schools and loyalty scheme members.

Finally, read about how English teachers are coping with Covid-19.

1. Cambridge English Qualifications - Registrations open

 

The registration period for the Cambridge English Qualifications October 2020 exam session, is now open until 5 September 2020.

  • A2 Key (KET) for Schools
  • B1 Preliminary (PET) for Schools      
  • B2 First (FCE) for Schools

Exam date (for all levels): Saturday, 17 October 2020, Nicosia.

2. ABRSM Practical 2 session - Registrations open

We are happy to announce that registration for the ABRSM practical examination session will open on 10 August. We will be accepting applications for Practical 2 examination session from 10th to 21st August.

We aim to start the examination period in mid-October to be able to accommodate as many applicants as possible.

Please email us the completed applications along with a copy of your payment to contact.abrsm@cy.britishcouncil.org

Important notes

  • Any forms received after the specified deadline will be charged with €30 late entry fee.
  • All registrations with the deposit slip should be received by the British Council within 5 days of payment.
  • We DO NOT accept entries by fax.

3. Call for COOPower Young Journalists

British Council is excited to introduce an opportunity to join a ‘Young Journalists’ team in Cyprus as part of the COOPower project.

Are you passionate about social change and interested in capturing the stories of people who work in innovative projects that have a social impact? If so, and you have a background in journalism, social media or communications, apply to join a team of young journalists in Cyprus.

Deadline for Submissions: 18th of August at 23:59 EEST.

4. More test dates and locations with Computer Delivered IELTS

Our test centres have now reopened with extra health and safety precautions in place. Check our updated schedule that offers more test dates for computer-delivered and paper-based IELTS.
