As a member of the practice squad for the Green Bay Packers, Chris Campbell ex '09 is now the proud owner of a Super Bowl championship ring.
Campbell started his college career as a walk-on for the EIU Panthers, but by his senior year, he'd earned a starting spot. His hard work continues to pay off -- he recently signed on for another year with the Super Bowl champions.

Flip-flop drop!
The Alumni Association dropped 800 pairs of flip-flops throughout the South Quad Monday morning. The flip-flops were free for any student to take.
Chelsea Frederick, the assistant director of Alumni Services, said the association chose to leave the flip-flops to help students become aware of the association before they graduate.
"It was our way of saying have a fun and safe spring break," Frederick said.

Insurance options for EIU graduates
As an EIU graduate, you may qualify to receive discounts on insurance. The Alumni Association partners with Liberty Mutual to offer Group Savings Plus, which provides discounts on auto and homeowners insurance.
Through GradMed, you may also obtain short-term medical insurance, which is great for new graduates and alumni between jobs.
