National Gold Young Ambassador Conference 2015

This October saw the National Gold Young Ambassador (YA) Conference return to Cardiff City Stadium for the 6th annual event. Almost 100 newly recruited Gold Young Ambassadors from across Wales attended the conference this year.

First National Leadership Academy weekend gets off to a flying start!

The weekend of September 12th and 13th 2015 saw the launch of the first ever Young Ambassador National Leadership Academy in partnership between Sport Wales and the Youth Sport Trust.

Local spotlight: Gwent SIlver Young Ambassador Conference

New Silver YAs inspired at Gwent Conference

Thursday 17th September saw 150 new Silver Young Ambassadors from the Gwent region arrive at the University of South Wales Caerleon Campus in Newport for the South East Silver YA Conference.
The regional Young Ambassador Steering Group for Gwent spent months organising the event beforehand, and led the conference on the day. They did a wonderful job in getting the correct messages across and inspiring the new Silver YA’s into their role.

Meet Gold YA Bronnie Griffiths from RCT

Bronnie was lucky enough to be offered a week long work experience with Disability Sport Wales  following her dedication at the Wheelchair Sport Spectacular event.


“This has been the best exerience of my life. As part of the week I travelled to Aberystwyth with the DSW team to deliver the Annual Disability Sport Wales Conference  which was yet another great learning curve for me.  I would like to thank Michelle Daltry for this brilliant experience.”

Young Ambassadors share their opinions at the Sport Wales Board meeting

Recently Platinum YA and steering group member Luke Rees was appointed the Young Ambassador representative for the Sport Wales Board. He attended his first meeting at Plas Menai in September, and was joined by Platinum YA Jamie Hawthorne from Conwy.
