So this past weekend the Marina Casa de Campo came to life with a traditional Carnaval Dominicano - with the participation of thousands from La Romana and across the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile the annual "Adopt a Crib" dinner for the Hogar de Niño was hosted by Ramón and Xiomara Menedez and we enjoyed a Mexican night in Altos de Chavón with the Mariachi "Los Principes".

Opera in Casa de Campo: an evening to raise your voice for the Hogar del Niño

On Tuesday the 19th of February, Soprano Anthonia Chabebe and Tenor Juan Cuevas raised their voices along with pianist Elioenai Medina during a private, by-invitation-only opera concert to raise funds for the Hogar del Niño’s Sport and Cultural Pavilion, an occasion hosted by Casa de Campo villa owners Mario and Nicoletta Galletto.

CDC Living reviews (and celebrates): The 7 Star Michelin Menu at Passion – for my 30th birthday!

I recently reached a milestone – my 30th birthday! And so to celebrate – my love and boss – Philip Silvestri (CEO and founder of Silgon Inc.) whisked me away to Punta Cana / Bavaro for a romantic weekend – I had hope we’d get toDisneyWorld – but sadly making our new magazine; INMORTALES got in the way of that plan! But we nevertheless had a wonderful time – with the highlight being a magnificent 10-course 7 star michelin menu dinner at Passion by Martin Berasategui at the Paradisus Palma Real resort in the Bavaro area.

Save the date! MIR Bazaar: 4th – 7th of April!

This year the Sugar Golf Tournament hosted by Alfy Fanjul will be played on the 5th and 6th of April – and will as has been the tradition for many years – be accompanied by the “MIR Bazaar”, a fabulous opportunity to shop and raise money for a great cause – the Fundación MIR.

A sunset cocktail for the latino legends of the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame

On Friday the 8th of February 2013, the celebrations surrounding the 4th annual Inductions to the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame were well underway – and following a packed day of activities – including the unveiling of statues at the Paseo de los Inmortales in La Romana, the INMORTALES of Latin Baseball were invited to relax and enjoy a cocktail with Casa de Campo’s managers, sports and facilities directors, as well as special members of the Casa de Campo community and VIP hotel guests.
