Matthew Michalewicz's latest venture Complexica Pty Ltd, a leading provider of artificial intelligence software for optimising sales, marketing, and supply chain decisions, recently won the 2018 Australian Innovation of the Year award from the Australian Information Industry Association for the creation and commercialisation of Larry, the Digital Analyst®. Larry uses machine learning algorithms and
large datasets to generate insights and optimised recommendations for sales and marketing staff. 2015 Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne was recently a guest on Andrew Denton's new Seven series Interview which can be viewed here if you missed it. The biopic of Michelle's extraordinary journey as the youngest of 10 children to become the first female to win the race that stops the nation -- Ride Like A Girl, produced by Richard Keddie -- is currently in post-production. Last month also saw Michelle gain her first city win as jockey-trainer of Sweet Rockette at Moonee Valley Racecourse. In Michelle's words, "The Melbourne Cup is the pinnacle but this is right behind it." This week, Lily Serna presents 'How To Get Lucky: The Maths of Chance' on ABC's Catalyst. On September 16 Layne Beachley AO will be lining up to compete in the WSL Masters Championships in the Azores, off the coast of Portugal.
