It is my pleasure to announce that Heather Jones has joined the University as our full-time Alumni/Parent Relations Officer. Heather completed her B.A. in Business Administration at Azusa Pacific University as a Dean’s list member for all four years of her education. After graduation she accepted the position of Director of Marketing at Spectra Company, a historic restoration general contractor. Over the years the department expanded and Heather became the Director of Business/Marketing Development.

As we have gotten to know Heather over the past few months there were three things that stood out at us; (1) her Passion for Christ-centered higher education, (2) her genuine care and heart for people and (3) her humility. These three characteristics were vital in bringing Heather on board, as we believe these attributes characterize the identity of WJU. Please join me in welcoming Heather to the Jessup family.

Welcome Class of 2014 to the WJU Alumni Association. Many of the 258 graduates began their journey four years ago with a desire to receive a Christ-centered higher education that would transform their future.

Join us for an elegant night of praise, reflection and celebration as we commemorate 75 years of God’s glory at WJU. Come and enjoy wonderful food and memorable fellowship as glorious stories of the past and God’s hand in the future of WJU is honored.

The event will feature live performances by the WJU Music and Creative Arts departments. In addition, Dr. John Jackson and President Emeritus Bryce Jessup will present the Impact Award to “Dream Team” members who played a pivotal role in bringing WJU to where it stands today. Over 500 guests are expected to join the festivities in the classically decorated University Ballroom.

The evening also includes the county’s largest silent auction and performance reception. Table sponsorships are currently available and individual tickets will be released for sale in July. All event proceeds benefit the University Fund for student scholarships.
