Dream of Chain Restaurant Independence! Eat in Diners!

American Diner by Richard Gutman, Diners by John Baeder

At the Dream Diner, we know all-too-well that you have many choices for a place to eat. In our area, you even have quite a few diners to choose from, so we know we have to work extra hard to get and keep your business.

But what exactly is a diner, anyway? If you go to our website, you'll see a page where we describe why we name our omelets the way we do. At one time, you could order a diner much like you order a car today. Diners for many years were built in factories and came with all the equipment and furniture necessary to establish your own restaurant. All you had to do was write the check and prepare your location. The diner would come by truck and workers would drop it on the foundation. With the utilties all hooked up, you turned on the grill and you were in business.

The history of the industry goes back all the way to 1872, and you can find many books on the topic today. Here's a few recommendations if you're interested in reading more about why we think diners are so special and deserve your business:

And that's just a start. There's even more on the internet, of course. Be sure to visit Larry's Diner Hotline and Randy's long-running RoadsideOnline.com for all the latest news.

We remember Rudy

We're sorry to report that we lost a great friend and a loyal Sunday customer recently. Just last January, Rudy came to our diner to celebrate his 91st birthday.

Rudy's friends and family remember him as a great father. After the passing of his wife, he became a volunteer at St. Joseph's hospital for three days a week.

Thanks for all the memories and for making staff and customers smile whenever you visited. You'll be missed.

Don't Forget Saturday Night Cruise Nights!

If you look carefully, you'll see Marybeth working the crowd at the Nashua Car Show last week, handing out flyers and hopefully inspiring owners to become new customers! (That's her in the turquoise).

She's busy getting people to bring in their classics to our Cruise Nights every Saturday night at the diner. Come bring in your own classic or stop by and see the coolest rides around.

Remember too that we serve our Prime Rib special on Saturdays!
