December 2013

It's that special time of year when friends and family gather and merry cheer is in the air.  This month meet our new friend, get some great gift ideas, find out the winners of the 4th Annual SkeenaWild Film Fest, read our 2013 Year in Review and get set to Party!

Meet Skeena Claws

He’s furry, he’s funny, he’s feisty and sometimes he’s ferocious!  He’s Skeena Claws y’all and he’s *WILD* for wild salmon.

Like many of you, he calls the Northwest home and makes it a point to ask questions, seek answers and do what it takes to protect and preserve the Skeena Watershed.

Join Skeena Claws for Supper in his premiere video and find out what questions he asks to ensure his meal is supporting a sustainable food system.

4th Annual SkeenaWild Film Festival

We couldn’t have asked for a more talented group of artists and enthusiastic bunch of participants to take part in the 4th Annual SWFF.  With over 150+ submissions, we took the show to five communities within the watershed where over 600+ lively people watched and cast their votes for their faves.  From humorous accounts of life in Northwest British Columbia, to in-depth explorations of what it means to look after the people, culture and land of the Skeena, these stories educated, entertained and elicited genuine emotion.

The votes from the Northwest Tour have been tallied and the results are in … drum roll please...
