Dear Colleagues,
I would like to start by wishing you the very best for a new academic year. I hope that your community of learning will continue to thrive and support each other to achieve great things. At this point in AEC's annual cycle we are looking forward to upcoming events, among which includes the Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators (IRCs) in Leuven and the AEC Congress and General Assembly in the Hague. I look forward to touching base with some of you in those meetings.
We welcome Anothai Nitibhon as the new South East Asia Directors of Music (SEADOM) President. Anothai was recently co-opted onto the AEC Council and I am sure she will be wonderful in her new leadership role.
Finally, we celebrate the culmination of the Power Relations in Higher Music Education (PRIhME) Project, which held its final multiplier event just last week. More information on PRIhME and its outcomes is shared via the AEC website and will feature during the AEC Congress.

The AEC, in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, is proposing a series of seminars aiming to help teachers increase their knowledge and skills in educating and coaching conservatoire students.

On the initiative of the Digitisation working group of the ARTEMIS project, a survey has been launched among chosen experts and users of musical teleconferencing systems to gather their thoughts, experiences, expectations and concerns regarding musical interaction on the internet.
The LOST HERITAGE & MUSIC project's second artistic residency took place in Alicante (Spain) on 16-17 June 2023.
