Addressing Current Questions and Controversies in the Management of Hematologic Cancers
|

One of our most valuable educational endeavors is our trip each December year-end to the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting. For 12 years we have been fortunate to host educational programs as part of the Friday Satellite Symposia program preceding the conference, and this December we are excited to be back at ASH to offer 4 sessions as hybrid experiences, with both onsite and remote options for participation.
Each symposium will employ a similar case-based format exploring the management of one of 4 distinct diseases: chronic lymphocytic leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma and acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. I have handed the reins to several extraordinary faculty members who will moderate these sessions, each joined by a panel of clinical investigator experts. Before the program we will be meeting with community oncologists who will present their most challenging cases, and select video clips from these interviews will in turn be presented for faculty discussion during the live educational events. We will also ask our in‑person and virtual audiences to submit cases for faculty consideration.
