We enjoyed meeting parents, local residents and other members of the local community at the public consultation held earlier this month. This was an opportunity to listen to the views of the local community and then take these into account prior to submitting the plans to the council.
Plans for 'Phase Two' of the development include a new building that would connect the existing Braywick Nature Centre to the Winbury School buildings, creating one much larger structure. The proposed accommodation includes a large purpose-built hall and seven spacious classrooms, the majority of which open directly onto external teaching spaces. A new pathway is planned to run between the proposed parents’ car park in Braywick Sports Ground though the nature reserve as part of the school’s ‘Park and Stride’ scheme.

All comments have been taken on board and we are now finalising the plans. We hope that the redevelopment works can commence after Christmas, subject to planning approval.
The school will occupy the ‘Phase One’ area of the site for the duration of the first academic year which will provide a spacious, flexible, open plan learning environment with state-of-the-art facilities from September.
