The European lighthouse cities Vienna, Munich and Lyon as well as the follower cities Santiago de Compostela, Sofia and Venice come together in order to improve the quality of life of their citizens. Below you will find updates on the development of co-created and replicable Smart City solutions in 5 concrete areas– citizen engagement, district heating & renewable energy, holistic refurbishment, smart data and e-mobility. Smarter Together and SCC1 Cities Light the Way in LisbonRepresentatives of the twelve smart city Lighthouse projects met to sign a new manifesto of cooperation.on 12 April in Lisbon, to discuss further collaboration, and to share existing best practices in the context of several workshops. From Smarter Together Munich Fascinating Dialogue: German Smart Cities in MunichCologne, Dresden and Hamburg – three of Germany's “smart cities” – met together in Munich this April. From Smarter Together Lyon Porche Building Added to Eco-Refurbishment WorksA new project has been confirmed within the Smarter Together project in Lyon Confluence: the eco-refurbishment of the Porche building. From Smarter Together Vienna New E-Bike Sharing Launches at the Viennese Central CemeteryOn 24 April 2018, Smarter Together launched a new e-bike sharing service, together with e-bike provider Sycube and the Viennese Central Cemetery.
