Andrew Walton Receives Scholarship

Andrew Walton, a student in the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and a former Infantry Captain in the U.S. Army, was awarded the Richard A. Cranney Sr. Veterans Business Educational Opportunity Fund Scholarship in May. Walton received his undergraduate degree in management, with a minor in systems engineering, from the United States Military Academy at West Point. In his free time, Walton enjoys fishing, hiking, and spending time outdoors with his wife and three children. More>

Free Tickets to July 4 Pirate Game

Free Pirate tickets are available to all veteran and military-affiliated students for the July 4 game against the Philadelphia Phillies! To claim your tickets, visit the Office of Veterans Services on the fourth floor of the Cathedral of Learning. (Limit four tickets per student.)

 

The game starts at 1:35 p.m., but head out early to join OVS and the Pitt Vets (SVA) for a tailgate in Gold Lot 4. Tailgate starts at 9:30 a.m. Refreshments will be available. More>

Happy Father's Day!

The Office of Veterans Services would like to thank all the veteran fathers and fathers of veterans for their hard work and sacrifices.  We asked around campus to get some perspective on what some fathers have done to support our veterans at the University of Pittsburgh. More>

Need Some Extra Cash?

The ELeVATE program is looking for student veterans to participate in a research study.  Participants should be in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) disciplines.  Participation includes 3 data collections in one academic year, completion of various assessments and surveys to collect data, and payment for each data collection ($50, $75, $75).  For more information contact Mary Goldberg, mrh35@pitt.edu or Maria Millevile, millvill@pitt.edu

The Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (ROTC) is an elective curriculum you take along with your required college classes. It gives you the tools, training, and experiences that will help you succeed in any competitive environment. The office is located in Bellefield Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. More
