Newsletter - October 2011

Hi Everyone

September has been a frantic month, with all sorts happening at the lodge.  Thanks to a brilliant team, we got through it unscathed and excited about what October holds.

insingizi Trail

The iNsingizi Trail was a huge success, but don’t take my word for it.  Here are some of the things the runners had to say…….

"Thank you for a super trail run; every thing was just perfect.
I have done many trail races all over the country and this was the best organization that I have seen."

Dave Pons

"Thank you for a well organized event!  Hopefully, we are fit enough to do the 18km next year.  Definitely back for the BROWNIES!!! The best ever."  Tertia Meyer and Renaldo Ferreira

"Firstly I'd like to thank you for a well organised and most enjoyable trail run yesterday. The course, while tough, was really great."  Claire Yunnie

"May i firstly say, congrats to you and your team on a absolutely brilliant morning. The trail was stunning and well marked and the views to die for. We will definitely be back next year."  Hoppy and Yvonne Hopkinson

Next year we will be running a series of races (we may even have a night run – for the very brave).  So make sure to follow us on facebook and ROAG so you don’t miss out.  Once again I would like to thank all our sponsors for helping make it such a special day – Dirt Track, Nedbank Business Banking, Oasis Water, Tasha’s Fantastic Fudge, Rayn Hampson Pottery, The Keg and Hedgehog, Speciality Papers, Camperdown Spar and Poobie Naidoos.  A HUGE thank you to Kyle, Ryan and Nigel for putting together a track that everybody agreed was just awesome.

"Wining Walkers"

The "Wining Walkers" had their first meeting this month – starting with a walk in the reserve, followed by a light dinner at the lodge. Lots of laughter and a few bottles of wine ensured that the aches and pains felt the next morning were not all walking related. Please contact the lodge if you would like more information on the Wining Walkers and would like to join the walking club! 031-7811767.

New Home for our Jaccuzi

The Jaccuzi officially has a new home!!  Pete and his team worked tirelessly to build a beautiful, thatched open-sided  rondaval, making it the place you really want to be whatever the weather!

Off to the Toyota Test Track

September saw us heading off to the Toyota Test Track to cater for the Dynamic Driving team and Mercedes, who were showing off the Sprinter and what it can do! Talk about something different - as the Sprinter was put through its paces so were we!  Lunch for 70, continuous snacks and drinks was quite an achievement, considering the only thing at the track were 2 brick braais – congratulations to Ali and the team for pulling off an amazing 3 days!

Jess is Born

Jess the zebra – born in the early hours of 27th September has become part of the lodge family and enjoys her walks around with the staff  before heading back to the office for a sleep and a cuddle. She is getting bigger everyday and has Ali up ever 2 hours to be fed!! Follow her progress on facebook or make a plan to pop over to the lodge for a visit.

World Cup Rugby Fever

World cup rugby fever has hit once again and no matter what or who is in the final, we will be hosting a brunch at iNsingizi.

So join us at 8.30 on the 23 October for a champagne brunch and the chance to win an iNsingizi Voucher!  Please book your place soon and plan nothing else for the rest of the day.

If you are feeling energetic, bring your bike and takkies and enjoy some of the awesome trails we have to offer.  For those of you who book brunch and would like to stay over (Sunday night)  there will be a 20% discount on accommodation and 10% off all treatments on match day.

Christmas Vouchers

With Christmas looming large, it is time to put your mind to how you are going to spoil those around you.  A voucher is the perfect gift!  We all need some time away from it all to relax and be spoilt and how much more relaxing is it when it is a gift!  Contact us at info@insingizi.co.za to plan how best to spoil those people near and dear to you.

Parting Thought

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. "

~Herm Albright, quoted in Reader's Digest, June 1995~
