It's also RAG week, which should see loads of fun activities on campus.

This Wednesday night is the Big Night Out In Colour!  If you haven’t already, get your ticket from the LUSU shop or your JCR if they haven’t sold out; you’ll need to exchange this for a t-shirt prior to the night then it’s on through town and to the Sugarhouse!  Entry is covered in the ticket price of just £5 with exclusive drinks offers available around town! Friday night is Old’s Cool with LouD and the SoundSlaves delivering the weekend’s best choice of music from the sixties through to the noughties and all the current chart favourites.  Saturday night is Sweet As Treats; show your Sugarhouse card at the door for the chance to win a surprise!

You could be one of a hundred Lancaster students who travel to China, India or Malaysia this summer!  LUSU Involve organises unique cultural experience trips to our partner campuses in all of these countries.  You will get to meet other students from around the world, start to build business contacts and networks, and volunteer with community organisations.

Battle of the Bands

This week's Battle of the Bands heat is in Grizedale Bar - Friday at 8pm.

Each band will be given  a 20 minute slot to showcase their talents and ONE band will go through from each heat to the final in week 8. At the end of the heats we will have the winners from each week + a wildcard which the judges will decide.

The winner will receive a headline slot at this year’s Campus Festival as well as a chance to perform at Beach Break Live 2012. Make sure you get down to support your favourite band!


Creative Arts Celebration

Taking place on Tuesday week 6 in the Great Hall, The Wild World Celebration Event will see four primary schools show off their artistic talents in a fantastic habitat-related theme! With art and music, this event is not to be missed! The day will run from 9.30am-2.45pm.

Sainsbury's closed

Header

Sainsbury’s Lancaster will be closed until Wednesday 22nd February in order to complete the store refurbishment works.

This will mean that the Sainsbury’s free bus will run to the Morecambe Sainsbury's on Wednesday 22nd February.


Fylde Goes Global

Applying Psychology In Education in the 21st Century

What’s your problem?

Whether it is with flatmates, coursework, diciplinaries, money or even your health, LUSU Education & Support advisers can help you get the problem sorted. They are available 9am – 5pm weekdays, in the LUSU building and there is no need to book an appointment. They also offer a drop-is session in the Management school on Thursdays 1pm-3pm (Meeting room 5) where you can ask them any question about any problems you are dealing with. RAG Week

RAG (Raising and Giving) week is this week! It’s a fun packed week full of different activities, nights out and great discounts! All money raised will go towards three chosen charities: WaterAid, Cancer Research and Alexandra House.

There’s lots of fantastic things planned this year including a Fashion Show on Tuesday of week 6 in the Great Hall, you can also look out for the RAG society in the Carleton and at the Sugarhouse throughout the week.


LUDans Show

The LUDanS annual show is coming in week 7! This year the show will take place on Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of March in the Great Hall, tickets will be on sale soon.
