2011 marked the largest ever Shaw Rocket Prize Kids Jury. Kids from across Canada viewed the five finalist television programs, voted for their favourite, and decided on the best Canadian kids program to win the Shaw Rocket Prize. Thank you kids for taking the time to make a difference. Your vote counted.

By participating, kids had a chance to win. We are very pleased to announce our 5 contest winners!

Derrick from Calgary submitted the most Creative Video Vote (click here to watch it) and was awarded with an iPad 2 and a trip to Ottawa for the winner announcement on November 29th. He had a blast and met many very important people, including last year’s winner (the now famous Dino Dan) and Justin Trudeau! Check out some photos from the event.

Wingin' It is a comedic tween TV show highlighting the misadventures of a teenage odd couple - Carl, a typical teenager trying to survive high school, and ‘Angel-in-Training' (A.I.T.) Porter, who is trying to earn his angel wings by making Carl the most popular guy in school. Wingin’ It won $50,000 for being the best Canadian children's program targeted to children aged 12 and under. Find out more about the Shaw Rocket Prize winner.
