Developed with guidance from the FDA, multiple IRBs, and study Sponsors, our Crisis & Pandemic Core Operating Guidelines (COGs) ensure trial integrity and subject & staff safety at all times.
PMG Research will collaborate with every study Sponsor and consider each circumstance, focusing on the potential impact on the safety of trial participants. Our Pandemic & Crisis COG addresses:
- Remote Visits
- Investigator Oversight During Office Closure
- Removing and Retaining Source Documents Off-Site
- Investigational Product (IP)
- Shipping IP
- Transporting IP to Subject’s Home
- Dispensing Extra IP and/or Study Supplies
- On-Site Visits: Employee, Patient and Visitor Safety
Ensuring the safety of our trial participants is paramount.
- All offices are cleaned multiple times each day.
- All employees are checked for temperature/signs of illness at the start of each day.
- Staff time in office is staggered to maintain social distancing.
- All patients and visitors are asked health screening questions before each visit to our sites.
- Patients may call from their vehicle to be taken to an exam room, bypassing the waiting areas.
- Vehicle visits are offered when possible.
- Additional time is allotted between patient visits to eliminate wait times in offices and exam rooms.
- Staff takes universal precautions including wearing gloves, gowns, and masks when indicated.
