Distinction Hotels Acquire Two More Hotels in Whangarei and Hamilton The New Zealand owned and operated Distinction Hotels Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of two more hotels located in Whangarei and Hamilton, currently trading under the Kingsgate brand. Distinction Whangarei Hotel
& Conference Centre will begin trading on the 25th of January 2016. Centrally located overlooking the Whangarei Quayside Town Basin the hotel consists of 115 air-conditioned hotel rooms and suites. The hotel offers a fully licensed bar and restaurant, indoor heated swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym and conference and event facilities for up to 130 people. Located only minutes from the city centre, Distinction Hamilton Hotel & Conference Centre will commence trading on the 11th of February 2016 and is the ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers. Consisting of 147 hotel rooms and suites, this property offers extensive guest services including gymnasium, his and hers steam rooms, three spa pools, outdoor swimming pool, two restaurants and bar. The hotel boasts some of the largest conference facilities in the Waikato area catering for up to 600 delegates. The rapidly growing hotel group have had a busy year opening Distinction Dunedin Hotel in November. Work continues on this iconic building in order to complete the top two floors of luxury accommodation and adjacent car parking building.
