What glorious weather we've been having! This week is the official start of the summer holidays, and this week's Top 5 has many things for everyone, young and old, to enjoy. Blickling Estate has launched their Summer Holiday Fun programme (taking place throughout the summer), and this weekend Bressingham Steam & Gardens has a gathering of fire engines in its grounds. Moreover, the Holt Festival is starting, Happisburgh lighthouse is opening and there's an open garden at Burnley Hall to raise money for the RNLI.
Summer Fun at Blickling Estate
Keep your little explorers busy this summer with family activities at Blickling Estate! This summer pick up a 'Get, set, go!' activity card from the team and get ready to reconnect with nature. How many activities do you think you could cross off the list? Hire a bike and cycle through the 5,000 acres of parkland, have a game of croquet, tennis or badminton in the garden or get the kids involved in the archery sessions taking place every Wednesday and Saturday. The Holt Festival is back with an exciting programme of music, talks and theatre. This year's programme sees the return of a few favourites and some brand new names in its line-up, with a number of events taking place. This week laugh at Dom Joly's stand-up comedy show, rock out to music by The Vagaband, prepare to be enlightened and entertained by gardener Bob Flowerdew and enjoy the return of the dynamic jazz duo, The Jefford Brothers. There's also an exhibition by the North Norfolk Photographic Society taking place at St. Andrew's Church Hall. Saturday 24-Saturday 31 July

Fire Engine Gathering at Bressingham Steam & Gardens
Calling all engine-enthusiasts! This weekend is Bressingham Steam & Gardens' annual Fire Engine gathering, where there will be a display of fire engines, fire appliances and collections for all to see. There will be activities for children too, including the Fire Car activity where children can use the fire hose!

The Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Lifeboat Guild are hosting an Open Gardens event at Burnley Hall, East Somerton, NR29 4DZ this weekend to raise money for the RNLI, namely to ensure that its crews and lifeguards have everything they need to go to the rescue to those who need it out at sea.
The weather is certainly set for the event, dogs on leads are welcome and you will be able to enjoy homemade teas there too. Admission is £5 per person, children are free, and all proceeds will go towards the RNLI.

Not for anyone scared of heights! Now's your chance to explore the oldest working lighthouse on the Norfolk coast and enjoy its stunning views over the countryside and dramatic coastline you hear so much about. Every Sunday this Summer from this weekend, this independently operated lighthouse is opening its door for tours around the building, with fascinating facts and unforgettable views.
