Click here Get to know Dr Lisa Abbott Doctor Lisa Abbott, Q: Tell us about your panel discussion at WCCS 2018?A: I’ll be chairing an expert panel discussing medicolegal scenarios in skin cancer, which is a topic that should be of interest to everyone in our industry. The panel will include barristers, doctors and a medical defence union medicolegal advisor. Q: What do you believe is the biggest challenge currently facing the industry?A: The growing use of smartphone clinical images and informal mobile teledermatology is likely to become a significant issue because of the potential for adverse patient outcomes and legal implications. To combat this, I believe we need further research into how to best support doctors with education, purpose-built integrated software and realistic workplace policy. Q: Which speaker or topic from the Congress Program are you most interested in?A: I’m particularly interested in the ever-evolving role of technology in dermatology, so I’m keen to learn more at the Computer Models & New Technology session on Friday. Q: What’s the craziest item on your bucket list?A: Travelling the world with my two small kids in tow, and learning how to code and build an app! Q: Finally do you have any insider tips for Sydney?
