Summer is finally here with sun and high twenties in the forecast for the entire weekend! If you are looking for a great patio wine, we discovered this new arrival at the LCBO from Alsace. It’s a Pinot Gris (same grape as Pinot Grigio) from Alsace, France. Alsace may not be on your normal shopping list at the LCBO, but this new wine on shelves makes it worth the detour to the French section of the LCBO.
Tasting Notes: This has extraordinary aromatic complexity with notes of apricots and a hint of honey. It’s just off-dry and balanced between spiciness and a light touch of fruit with a crisp fresh finish.
Enjoy With: A summer salad or grilled seafood, or it would be a perfect patio sipper on its own.
