Great Brington Rectory has become an ‘eco-house’ courtesy of a grant from the Church of England Pensions Board and Net Zero Carbon programme and provides a practical example of what can be done to reach our target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. In September, Staverton Church of England Primary School in the Daventry Deanery was presented with a Church School Excellence Award following successful outcomes of recent Ofsted and SIAMS inspections. Recently completed conservation work has revealed new and striking detail of a Royal Coat of Arms painted on the chancel arch of St Edmund’s Church, Egleton. The Let’s Shine Together Festival took place in the Astwell Benefice between 30 May and 8 June. Through immense hard work and the involvement of well over 100 people, a programme of more than 30 varied events took place over 10 days with the main objective that the festival would serve local people and crucially would give everyone in the benefice the same opportunity to be part of the events.
