LUNGevity participates in ALK Positive SummitLUNGevity was honored to attend the second annual ALK Positive Summit in Atlanta, GA, last weekend. The event was organized by ALK Positive, a patient-driven support group dedicated to advancing research and advocacy for people with ALK-positive lung cancer. Upal Basu Roy, PhD, MPH, LUNGevity’s Vice President of Research, reported on the progress of the three ALK Positive research grants funded through the LUNGevity and ALK Positive research partnership, and participated in a panel on the future of ALK Positive lung cancer research. Katie Brown, LUNGevity’s Vice President of Support and Survivorship, provided an overview of the Foundation and invited everyone to register for the second annual International Lung Cancer Survivorship Conference in Washington, DC, next April. It is exciting and rewarding to partner with such a dynamic group of patients and caregivers. We look forward to what ALK Positive will accomplish in the future!
