Diploma Gathering 2020

Tickets are now on sale

You asked, we listened! Next year's Diploma Gathering will be held in London for the first time.

Join us on 7-8 March 2020 for an inspiring weekend of workshops, optional tutorials and the chance to make new connections with others on the Diploma pathway.

We'll be meeting at the home of environmental education charity Roots and Shoots, set in a half-acre wildlife garden near Lambeth North underground station. We already have two accreditations pencilled in so it's set to be a great event.

The £70 ticket price includes lunch and light refreshments on both days. Please note we're unable to provide accommodation, so you'll need to organise that yourself. Obviously, there are hundreds of accommodation options in London, including a few hostels with small dorms near the venue. Feel free to post accommodation offers/wants on the Facebook event page.

If there are any issues/topics you'd particularly like to see covered at the Gathering, please drop Cath a line. Better still, think about offering a workshop!

Recommendations report

The Diploma Working Group (DWG) has completed its Recommendations report. The report is the culmination of two years of strategic review of the Diploma system where the group observed, analysed and designed proposed tweaks.

The Permaculture Association is now looking at how best to implement these recommendations in partnership with the DWG and very much appreciates the hard work of the volunteers who helped to bring this together.

We all want to ensure the Diploma system is the best it can be. With that in mind, if you're interested in joining the group, drop Wilf Richards a line.

Congratulations Carla

Carla Moss is our newest Diplomate, having accredited at the Permaculture Association's Annual General Meeting in Leeds on 16 November. Well done Carla!

Thanks to those of you who have already emailed to share your design tools after our previous newsletter.  We will have room in our next issue for your contributions, so it's not too late to tell us about things that work for you, ways that you use different tools, and anything else that helps.
