Take Art would like to invite youth and school dance groups in Somerset to apply to be part of the county youth dance platform at Octagon Theatre, Yeovil on Wednesday 15 March 2017.
Spring Forward Youth Dance Festival, with it's CPD, workshops and multiple youth dance platforms, has grown enormously over the past 14 years. Our ambition is to continue to support youth dance groups in Somerset and the South West through the festival long term. To achieve this ambition at the scale and level of quality we would like requires addition funding and and time, therefore we will be holding the full festival bi-annually, with the next one being held in 2018.
We are pleased that we will still be running one county youth dance platform in 2017 for Somerset Groups only. We would like to accommodate as many Somerset based groups as possible so we are limiting applications to one piece per group. Youth dance groups (including school groups) of all styles are invited to apply with a piece up to 7 minutes in length.

The U.Dance Regional Festival is coming to Swindon. The regional platform is a celebration of youth dance from across the South West for ages 11-19yrs (*Disabled dancers up to the age of 25 are eligible to apply), an opportunity for youth dancers to inspire and be inspired,connect and perform. It also acts as the selection event for groups wanting to go onto the National U.Dance Platform happening on the 13th-16th July at The Birmingham Hippodrome.
