OPEN HOUSES AND VOTING LOCATIONS

Where and When to Vote: Voters will have multiple opportunities to cast their ballot on the transit contract referendum on March 19. In-person voting at the Main Elections Office on Grayson Highway runs from 7:00am to 7:00pm daily from February 25 to March 15, including Saturdays and Sundays. From March 4 to
March 15, voters can visit one of seven satellite locations around the county from 7:00am to 7:00pm daily, including Saturdays and Sundays. On election day, March 19, voters must go to their assigned polling location. March 15 is the last day to have an absentee ballot mailed to you. - Jimmy Carter Boulevard Streetscape Improvements - Construction is underway on a streetscape improvement project along Jimmy Carter Boulevard from Rockbridge School Road to S. Norcross Tucker Road. The project includes seven landscaped areas within the existing concrete median.
- Beaver Ruin Road Mid-block Crossing with HAWK Signal -
Construction is beginning on the Beaver Ruin Road mid-block crossing with Hawk signal. The mid-block crossing is being constructed to increase pedestrian safety by offering a more readily available protected place to cross. Look for more information in the April newsletter regarding the completion date and ribbon-cutting ceremony, as well as brochures for potential users.
- Freight Plan Update - We recently kicked off the Freight Plan, which is being carried out in conjunction with the Atlanta Regional Commission and Gwinnett County Government. This Plan will look at
freight activity in the CID area and result in proposed solutions for freight-related mobility challenges. In the coming months, we will announce opportunities for public involvement through stakeholder groups, open houses, and public meetings.
- Beaver Ruin Creek Greenway Public Meeting - The final public meeting for our Beaver Ruin Creek Greenway study is on March 21st at our office. We have been hard at work developing a plan for the Greenway, and this is your opportunity to view the concepts we’ve

- Welcome Souto Foods - February 19: Gateway85 and Partnership Gwinnett welcomed CID member Souto Foods to the district. The warehouse, located on N. Norcross Tucker Road, has nearly 60,000 s.f. of space, with 10,000 s.f. of that refrigerated. and the facility can be expanded by another 30,000 s.f. The facility opening will create more than 100 new jobs. Souto Foods was established in 2010 in Atlanta. The company serves customers in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee with a wide range of products from Latin American and Caribbean countries as
well as other countries around the globe.
- Birchwood Foods Expansion - February 25: Birchwood Foods announced the expansion of its operations off Goshen Springs Road in the CID. The expansion will bring 80 new jobs and $33M in capital investment to the community.
PEDS Walk Summit March 7 - 8 Gateway85 is a proud sponsor of the Georgia PEDS Walk Summit March 7 - 8 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast in Peachtree Corners. American Society of Civil Engineers Construction Institute Summit March 7-9 Marsha Anderson Bomar, Gateway85 CID Executive Director, will join engineers, contractors, owners, designers, and other construction industry stakeholders from all over the world, here in Atlanta, to share new developments and innovative practices in the construction industry. She also has the privilege of introducing keynote speaker Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioner Russell McMurry, Gateway85 Director of Operations, Robert Michener, will also be attending.

NOTICE OF GATEWAY85 GWINNETT
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT ELECTIONNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN as provided in the GWINNETT COUNTY COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS ACT (Ga. L. 2001, p.3709, et. seq.) that a caucus of Electors of the Gateway85 Gwinnett Community Improvement District (CID) shall be held on the 11th day of April, 2019 at the Gateway85 Gwinnett CID Offices, 1770 Indian Trail Road, Suite 150, Norcross, Gwinnett County, Georgia 30093. One purpose of the caucus is to elect Board Members to serve in Posts 1 & 4 on the Gateway85 Gwinnett Community Improvement District Board. Another purpose is to vote whether to approve a street lighting Layout and Petition for submittal to the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. The Layout and Petition may be examined at the CID Offices. Registration for the election shall be
held from 7:15 o'clock A.M. to 7:45 o'clock A.M. Voting will occur immediately after every Elector who has arrived at the registration table by 7:45 o'clock A.M. has registered. A map of said District is on file with the Gwinnett County Clerk and the Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner. All Electors as designated under the Act are invited to attend and cast their votes.

Advance Atlanta Loves Gwinnett Transit Referendum Event
at Eagle Rock Distributing Company - February 10 Nearly 200 people attended the Advance Atlanta Loves Gwinnett Transit Referendum Event at Eagle Rock Distributing Company on February 10. During the free educational forum and mixer Gwinnett BOC Chairman Charlotte Nash and MARTA Board Member Robbie Ashe among others discussed the upcoming vote. Partnership Gwinnett LEAN Breakfast - February 28 Gateway85 CID participated as a sponsor in the Partnership Gwinnett LEAN Breakfast on February 28. Marsha Anderson Bomar introduced keynote speakers, Chris Kutish and Susanne Lauda, both with AGCO. The breakfast, hosted by AGCO, brought together leaders in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain industry to discuss best practices.
