All road users need to be aware of HGV driver limitations and this National Highways campaign aims to raise awareness and knowledge of these areas of limited visibility with road users, thereby increasing confidence. Scottish Government & Road Safety Scotland launch Driving Tired Kills campaign Driver fatigue causes hundreds of road accidents each year. And these accidents are roughly 50% more likely to result in death or serious injury. When drivers fall asleep, the police find no signs of braking, or any avoiding actions, so they tend to result in higher-speed collisions.  Read more...
