This January, the two lung cancer interception teams co-funded by LUNGevity, Stand Up To Cancer and American Lung Association’s LUNG Force presented at the Stand Up to Cancer Scientific Summit in Santa Monica, CA. This was an exciting opportunity for our interception team leaders to outline their projects to the SU2C community. LUNGevity has received the initial batch of grant applications for the collaboration with patient group ALK Positive for research that has the potential to save their lives. Our team of grant reviewers are excited by the response, and we look forward to announcing two grants soon. Learn more about our partnership. This year’s Career Development Award request for grant applications has been released. The awards are expected to be announced in July. Learn about how this prestigious grant program is giving outstanding young scientists the tools to become leaders in the field of lung cancer research. LUNGevity recently launched Project ACTS – Increasing Adherence to CT Screening for lung cancer – a multi-stakeholder project funded by a grant from Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation through their Bridging Cancer Care(TM) initiative. Project ACTS will develop and evaluate tools to promote stronger adherence to lung cancer screening protocols, significantly increasing the number of individuals whose lives will be saved by CT screening-based early detection.
