In this newsletter we want to highlight the important role that location data plays in helping the public sector to understand and respond to the needs of the community it serves. Geodata helps to protect the vulnerableNorthamptonshire County Council have been using our P2 People & Places data for almost two years and have been keeping us informed about the applications they are putting it to. Most recently they told us about how they have been combining our geodemographic profiling data with their own datasets and bespoke surveys to identify socially isolated areas of the community. They can then target these areas with social prescribing activity to prevent the need for more extreme health interventions. How to offer a complete service to public sector clientsStuart Todd Associates have a well earned reputation for offering a full, quality service to its public sector clients. We were asked to help them in the development of survey tools that could intuitively map journeys and evaluate whether each journey touched on the strategic road network. Here is how we helped turn random home visits, into valuable feedback on a specific topic.
