Welcome to the April newsletter! Here in the Northern hemisphere spring (and vaccines!) are in the air, and we are hoping for the end of a long, hard winter. Wherever you find yourself, we hope you are doing well and that 2021 is off to a good start for you!
This month we have lots of new tips and guidelines to help you get the best deliverability out of any type of email you send. We also have some updates from Wildbit—the team behind Postmark—and the work we’re doing around building a people-first business.

One of the questions we get most often about our new Message Streams product is why we believe sending promotional email through Postmark will result in better deliverability for your mail than with other providers. There are lots of answers to this question, but the biggest is this: with Postmark, transactional and promotional email don’t mix. That makes it easier for inbox providers to categorize messages, which means better deliverability for both types of email.
To expand on that, we recently made a big update to our blog post about the key differences between transactional and promotional email—why it’s so important to keep them separate, and actionable guidance on how you can make that happen.

If you know all this already and are simply looking for an email provider that takes separating promotional and transactional email as seriously as you do, we’ve got you. Check out Postmark Message Streams.

Whether it’s an update to your terms of service or a change to your privacy policy, chances are that you have to get important (and sometimes legally required) information to your audience from time to time. Unfortunately, to inbox providers these emails often look like spam—and that can have a serious impact on your deliverability.
Here’s the good news though: If you follow a few simple guidelines, your next ToS update will be a success, not a deliverability nightmare.

We recently hosted our first-ever office hours, and a bunch of you stopped by to ask us all your burning questions about Message Streams and Broadcast sending with Postmark. If you missed the live session, you can watch the recording and or read all questions and answers over on the Postmark Blog.

We enjoyed hosting the office hours and would love to run them again, soon. What would you like to chat about? Let us know.

We’ve made some updates to our two-factor authentication (2FA) process to make it even easier for you to set up this extra layer of security for your account. Previously, we required you to add a phone number to set up 2FA. Now, you can choose between SMS or app authentication.
