Our final newsletter of the year, and as you might expect, there's a bit of a winter theme going on...

Overall we're still busy on all fronts, but there is now a bit of a natural slow down as we enter the run up to Christmas.
One of our highlights last month was handing over our first new Lotus, an Exige Sport 380. An amazing car with stunning performance, but easy to drive if you want to potter (if Exiges are allowed to potter...!) or absolutely awesome on track. MORGAN NEWS
A couple of weeks ago, it was time to make the annual pilgrimage to the Morgan Factory for the 'Global Dealer Meeting'. And with over 70% of Morgan production going abroad, and 70+ dealers worldwide, it truly was a global event.
It's been a good year for Morgan, and next year the company is planning to build 750 cars. The exciting challenge for 2018 will be bringing the EV3 (electric 3 Wheeler) into production, and this is expected towards the latter part of the year.
Still to be revealed, is what will replace the Aero 8. This car has been a stunning success, and the order book closed several months ago as all the available V8 engines from BMW had been allocated. Perhaps next year's dealer meeting will provide the answers, or at least some clues...
It was interesting to learn more about the challenges that Morgan face when selecting engines and planning for the future. Although the UK and Germany are quite relaxed about engine size and emissions, most of the rest of the world isn't, with punitive taxes and duties on large engined cars. So with most Morgans going for export, engines are likely to become smaller and with fewer cylinders and/or different fuel types.
In another key area, a lot of work is taking place in the aftersales and parts department at Morgan, with major investment in new IT systems, recruiting additional staff, and wholesale procedural changes. The aim, an even better and more streamlined parts department with a greater range and faster supply of parts.
LOTUS EXIGE CUP 430
Another newsletter, and another new model of Lotus to announce!
This time it's the Exige Cup 430 - the most extreme Exige produced to date, and by all accounts a bit of a beast when it comes to performance. It's the fastest production car ever around Lotus' test track, and probably fair to say it won't be one for the faint-hearted!
Or to quote Jean-Marc Gales, the CEO of Lotus:
"The Exige continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in terms of performance, agility, aerodynamics and rapid covering of ground from A to B in a production road car. There isn't another car on sale that can match the new Exige Cup 430; it will go down as a ground-breaking car in the history of Lotus."

SATURDAY BREAKFAST CLUB
Our very successful Breakfast Clubs have now been running for 5 years and take place on the first Saturday of the month, starting at 9:30am with bacon rolls and hot drinks.
For our next breakfast club, which is this Saturday (2nd December), it's our annual Scalextric challenge. So come along for lots of crashes and mince pies and prizes!
