The deadline to apply is August 16, 2024. At the end of the 24-month program, the resident is expected to be a competent MFM specialist with completion of MFM Competencies and Training Experiences as outlined by the standards from the *Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). Call for InterestThe Education Awards Subcommittee (EAS) seeks faculty members to fill vacancies. The EAS adjudicates education-related awards, and facilitates planning, priorities and candidate identification for these awards. Well done! Congratulations!Kaitlyn Visser, from the Hemmings lab, successfully defended her MSc in Medical Microbiology and Immunology on June 10, 2024 with a full pass. Her thesis is entitled, "Latent murine cytomegalovirus infection: Impact on breast cancer metastasis and tissue cytokine profiles in males and females." Kaitlyn is now a Research Assistant for Dr. Diana Mager at the University of Alberta's Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Sciences. Kudos!Bethan Wilson, of Dr. Riddell's lab, was awarded a Charlie Loke Travel award to attend the *International Federation of Placenta Association's September meeting in Montreal.
