Hello and welcome to this edition of the Connected Libraries' e-newsletter.
Reconciliation Week is 27 May - 3 June and we will be honouring the week with some specialised programs. Learn how to get involved.
International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination (IDAHOBIT) is May 17.
Come and celebrate this event at the library, a safe space to relax, socialise or join in on our programs.
We will also have colouring sheets available at the front desk of our libraries. If you are interested in these programs, you might also enjoy our Rainbow Book Group and the Rainbow Room where you can search for LGBTQIA+ friendly books.
The
Christian White and Amanda Hampson author talk has been rescheduled to Thursday 1 May, 7pm at Bunjil Place Library. If you were booked into the original event, you are still booked in. If you didn't have a booking but would like to attend, there are limited spots available so get in quick.

Join us for National Simultaneous Storytime 2025 as we dive into the book ‘The Truck Cat’, a heartwarming tale of cats, humans, and the search for home.
Written by award-winning author Deborah Frenkel and beautifully illustrated by Danny Snell, this touching story explores themes of immigration, identity, and the connections that bring us together.
Join us at these library events as we read ‘The Truck Cat’ together and participate in National Simultaneous Storytime.

In Conversation with Emelia Jackson from Masterchef
Join us as we speak with Australian Masterchef winner and author of 2 best-selling cookbooks Emelia Jackson.
We will chat about her times on Masterchef as well as being a runner-up on Dessert Masters.
Copies of Emelia's books will be available to purchase on the day and she will happily sign them.
