Allergenics Hair Testing Allergenics perform tests for sensitivities, intolerances, nutritional balance and personal health. By learning more about your own body through one of their five proven tests you can make lifestyle changes to optimise your health. Your hair is not only a reflection of what’s going on in your body, but of your overall health too. Your hair is able to retain energy patterns which can be measured and used to assess your state of health, naturally. Hundreds of natural health practitioners use Allergenics regularly and thousands of people have benefited from their tests. Food Intolerance Testing This test is recommended for anyone wanting to discover whether any food or environmental factors could be triggering distress or imbalances in their health and well-being. An intolerance can often be misconstrued as an allergy because it results in the body reacting negatively, though it is less severe. It occurs when the human body has difficulty properly digesting a food item, resulting in a number of physical symptoms. Sensitivity, on the other hand, is when a person becomes sensitive to a food item from excessive consumption. Both exhibit milder symptoms, but this should still be taken seriously in case the condition worsens over time, especially if they are not addressed with diet and lifestyle changes. An allergy differs completely from intolerances and sensitivities, developing hereditarily in some cases and can often cause life-long health issues. Comprehensive Nutrition Test Our nutrient status is governed by our diet, our lifestyle and many environmental factors that affect us. It is the combination of vitamins, minerals and nutrients that our body seeks to carefully balance to ensure we do not suffer from excesses and deficiencies. This can have a huge impact on our health, along with the heavy metal burden we carry in our bodies. Note: this test does not give actual levels of vitamins and minerals Sleep & Mood Testing This test can help you identify those major triggers and imbalances that may be affecting healthy sleep and mood balance. Key hormones, neurotransmitters and nutrients involved in sleep and mood are assessed, giving you an overview of how these work together and can be rebalanced. Women's Hormone Testing Puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and menopause are all periods within a woman’s life that can alter the balance of hormones, affecting organ health and body function. Varying levels of estrogen, progesterone, insulin and even steroids can severely impact one’s health and lead to more complications. An imbalanced body can lead to excessive weight gain, decreasing energy levels, a declining sex drive and the occurrence of mood swings. Allergenics hormone testing in NZ is suitable for women of all ages and can be adapted for children where required. Women’s Health Test can also provide you with valuable information which may help with fertility, for those who want to start the process of conceiving. Comprehensive Men's Hormone Testing This is the ultimate health and well-being screen for men. It measures how well your body systems are functioning and provides information on your body’s organs and hormones as well as the specialised nutrients associated with their function. See us in store to discuss further or organise your Allergenics test/s. We take a very small hair sample or alternatively a buccal swab then get you to fill out the required questionnaire for your test/s. The first test costs $135 and each additional test is $99. There is also a small courier charge of $5 and it takes about 2 weeks for the results. The food and environmental sensitivity test and the comprehensive nutrition test includes a brief written recommendation for any supplements that may be beneficial and a free 10 minute chat to go over any questions.. The other tests require a followup consultation with one of our Naturopaths to go over what it all means in more depth.
Every day, our bodies are exposed to a wide range of environmental toxins, both naturally occurring and human made. Heavy metals like lead, mercury, and cadmium can build up in our systems over time. Meanwhile, synthetic chemicals like BPA (bisphenol A), commonly found in plastic containers, metal can linings, and even water supply pipes, are regularly used in everyday products. Pesticides are another concern. These chemicals are widely used in conventional farming, meaning even a healthy-looking fruit or vegetable may carry trace residues. While small exposures may not seem harmful at first, the cumulative effect over time can place stress on your body’s natural detoxification systems, particularly your liver, kidneys, and immune system. As these organs work overtime to clear out toxins, symptoms of overload can begin to show. Signs Your Body Might Be Struggling with Toxins
Small Steps to Reduce Your Toxic Load While it’s impossible to avoid all environmental toxins, you can reduce your exposure through simple lifestyle changes. These steps, combined with a balanced diet, can go a long way in easing the toxic burden on your body.
The body has natural detoxification mechanisms so it can eliminate heavy metals and other contaminants, but these mechanisms require nutrients to function correctly. Because of the high level of exposure and poor diets, the body can struggle to properly eliminate these toxins and may need support for this process. Nature’s Sunshine Heavy Metal Detox was specifically designed to facilitate the elimination of toxic heavy metals from the body, while also helping protect cells against the adverse effects of heavy metal exposure. This unique blend helps to:

A Note from our Team: There are a number of other products we have in store including Chlorella & Bentonite Clay that also aid detoxification of heavy metals and environmental toxins. However, we recommend that if your heavy metal loading is high a detoxification should only be contemplated under the guidance of a qualified practitioner to ensure the process is undertaken safely. If you are unsure about your heavy metal load, an Allergenics test might be recommended.

Healthy Spelt Pancakes for One Ingredients:
Directions: Mix all dry ingredients together the night before and place in container. In the morning, heat a skillet on medium while mixing the batter. Add the milk to dry ingredients and stir well. Spray the skillet with non stick oil and spoon the batter onto the skillet on med-low temperature. Flip pancakes when bubbles pop and cook other side. (Makes 5 baby pancakes) Low sugar syrup: For the syrup, I like to mix coconut oil and maple syrup for a really delicious low sugar syrup. I mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1/2 a tablespoon of pure maple syrup together and the result is pure heaven. Credit: Angela ohsheglows.com/healthy-spelt-pancakes-for-one/ |
