Looking for a fun family night out? Homebush Village Night Markets are happening this Saturday 😀

Dear Residents,

Council performs regular inspections of public assets to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose. Albyn Road, Strathfield was identified as needing priority repair work and as such the area from Cotswold Road to Homebush Road was recently updated with kerb, guttering and road reconstruction. This has improved safety and accessibility for all road users. You can find out about other road works on the Current Projects webpage.

In other news, you may have noticed some improvements being made at Strathfield Park. We look forward to the community enjoying the new BBQ areas, fitness equipment, walking paths and more. The work is expected to be complete at the end of June 2026 (weather permitting). Find out more on the website.

This Saturday I’ll be at Strathfield Park and Chain of Ponds Reserve for my Mayoral Street Meetings! Come and say hello and let me know what’s on your mind. Then head over to Rochester Street Homebush for the Homebush Markets from 4pm. See you there!

Kings Birthday Public Holiday Hours

Due to the King’s Birthday Public Holiday, Strathfield Council Customer Service Centre and Strathfield Council Library and Innovation Hub will be closed Monday 8th June and will reopen Tuesday 9th June 2026.

Hudson Park Driving Range will be open from 6.30am until 1am.

Cooks River Fun Run

It is time to start training for the Cooks River Fun Run at Freshwater Park on Sunday 28 June!

Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part in either the 10km, 5km or the ever‑popular 2km Family Dash. This fun run also puts a spotlight on the Cooks River’s role in promoting public health.

The Cooks River Fun Run is hosted by Racehub Australia, with support from Strathfield Council.
